Skills We’re Looking For

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, personable, and energetic Bartender to join our community bistro. Our bistro is open to both community residents and the general public, creating a lively, welcoming environment that combines exceptional hospitality with the warmth of a community setting.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while providing friendly, professional service to residents, their families, guests, and members of the public.

Bistro Bartending Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and professionally.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, families, and public customers.
• Maintain a welcoming, upbeat, and professional atmosphere.
• Manage multiple orders during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and service area.
• Operate the POS system and accurately process payments.
• Follow all applicable alcohol-service laws and company policies.
• Monitor responsible alcohol consumption and address concerns appropriately.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
• Work closely with the bistro staff to provide seamless service.

Banquet Bartending Responsibilities

• Provide professional bar service for weddings, celebrations, private parties, corporate functions, resident events, and other special occasions.
• Set up and break down portable bars, beverage stations, glassware, garnishes, ice, and supplies before and after events.
• Prepare and serve beverages efficiently while maintaining a polished and welcoming presentation.
• Handle high-volume drink service while keeping lines moving and maintaining excellent customer service.
• Maintain adequate supplies throughout each event and anticipate service needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area throughout the event.
• Provide professional service to residents, their families, outside guests, and members of the public.
• Adapt to different event styles, guest expectations, menus, and service requirements.
• Follow responsible alcohol-service practices and all applicable laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending or restaurant/hospitality experience preferred.
• Banquet or event bartending experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a busy or high-volume environment is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy periods.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work independently while being an effective team member.
• Must meet all applicable local and state requirements for alcohol service.
